Boston Skyline and Bridges

These are photos of the Boston skyline and surrounding bridges from a variety of vantage points including Cambridge, East Boston, South Boston, Chelsea, Everett, and Malden. I turned the ordinary into a dreamlike reality with very long exposures, using LEE Filters to control the light entering the lens.

When I woke up the conditions didn’t look great in Brighton from my perch, so I didn’t plan on getting a shot and didn’t rush to leave. But as I headed out of the city, it became apparent I was wrong and there was going to be some color regardless of the heavy clouding and chance for rainfall. So I raced down to the first pull off on Memorial Dr. because I knew the color wasn’t going to last, and I got this one exposure in.
