Deer Island Piles at Sunrise in Boston Massachusetts
The tide level allowed me to isolate this unique arrangement of decayed piles against the horizon. I utilized a longer exposure length to simplify the image by smoothing the water, giving it an even fill of light. This increased the contrast of the pile silhouettes, enhancing their role as the main subject of the composition.
