Boston Skyline and Bridges
Charles River Mirror Reflection of Boston Skyline Silhouette at Sunrise with Dinghies
In the summer when the dinghies are out, I’m always on the lookout for calm conditions to get a fresh take. I was able to isolate this cluster and somewhat center the skyline with a very awkward setup and angle. The lighting was very difficult and I swapped out a lot of filter combinations. I ended up using a LEE Filters Very-Hard Edge 1.2 GND in conjunction with a Hard-Edge 0.9 GND, for a total of 7 stops on the sky, 3 stops on the water, and 0 stops over most of the dinghies. That was the only way I could retain the highlights on the water and bring the blue out of the jet black water.
