Boston Skyline and Bridges

These are photos of the Boston skyline and surrounding bridges from a variety of vantage points including Cambridge, East Boston, South Boston, Chelsea, Everett, and Malden. I turned the ordinary into a dreamlike reality with very long exposures, using LEE Filters to control the light entering the lens.

It was so gusty I couldn’t use any foreground elements along the river, so I decided to go for a minimal look and embrace the darkness of the filters. I only had one chance for this 8 minute exposure at the tail end of sunrise.
