Winthrop Beach Waves Abstract with Cloudy Blue Sky

On a beautiful summer day, a nice set was rolling in, so I created this ocean abstract from Winthrop Beach, near the base of Winthrop Head (Cottage Hill). I combined pan motion at 100mm and a 1.6 second shutter speed to create the blurred waves, utilizing a 10-stop neutral density filter from http://www.KolariVision.com to extend the shutter length in the bright light. I shot the clouds without pan motion, but with long exposure and the same neutral density filter, at a 170mm focal length. I combined the two in post process to create one image.
