Colonial New England Town with Trees in Boston Suburbs and Kodak Aerochrome Infrared
This image is a panorama of a quintessential New England town in the rolling hills just outside Boston Massachusetts on the North Shore, and is seen in both infrared and visible light with blue sky. I took this image with a camera converted to allow the full spectrum of light to pass through to the image sensor. I narrowed the bandwidth of light recorded by the image sensor by placing an “IR Chrome” filter in front of the lens. This filter allows both visible and infrared wavelengths to pass, and was engineered to achieve the look of Kodak Aerochrome IR film, straight out of camera. The resulting image is what you see here, a fall look in summer. The full spectrum conversion and “IR Chrome” filter are products from http://www.KolariVision.com
