Infrared Photography
I took these images with a modified camera to achieve surreal looking color. A factory digital camera comes with a filter covering the image sensor that only allows visible light to pass, as the other wavelengths will pollute the image. To take these images, the filter covering my camera's sensor was replaced with one that allows all light wavelengths to pass (full spectrum). Then to further control the light received by the sensor, I place optical filters in front of the lens.

Boston Suburbs in Infrared on the North Shore
This is one of my go-to locations in fall, so I decided to photograph it in infrared while there were still green trees this summer (2017). What we are looking at is a quintessential New England suburb on Boston’s North Shore. This was photographed with a Kolari Vision converted infrared camera.
