Photographs from the seaside town of Winthrop Massachusetts, which lies just over the harbor from Boston, on the very southern tip of what becomes the North Shore. Because of its positioning, there is no reason to drive through Winthrop, unless it's your destination. I've also included images taken along its border as well.

Winthrop Beach Sunset with Thunderheads and Pan Motion

On a hazy summer evening, sunset light wraps around the horizon to illuminate summer thunderheads over Winthrop Beach and Broad Sound. I combined a telephoto image of the clouds with a wider angle image incorporating pan motion and a 4.0 second shutter.
