Photographs from the seaside town of Winthrop Massachusetts, which lies just over the harbor from Boston, on the very southern tip of what becomes the North Shore. Because of its positioning, there is no reason to drive through Winthrop, unless it's your destination. I've also included images taken along its border as well.

Winthrop Beach Silver Waves Sunrise Abstract

On a calm morning in April 2020, I visited Winthrop Beach at Cottage Hill, where many sets of swells were rolling in. With the waves silhouetted against silver water created by the rising sun about 45 minutes after sunrise, I utilized pan motion and 1 second shutter speed to create this image, capturing the fleeting color on the horizon.
